We are getting ready for the moon festival!

We’ve been having a great time getting ready for the Moon Festival. The Performance Intensive camp and Renfrew Community Performance band camp finished training local youth a couple of weeks ago and now we are into rehearsals for the Moon Festival finale. Great work is comming from Brad Muirhead and the musicians, Isabelle Kirouac, Ariel Amara, Isaac Rosen Purcell, Jennifer Norquist and our amazing crew of youth stilt dancers and poi spinners. The Renfrew-Collingwood seniors have started making floating lotus blossom lanterns for the wading pool and the Windermere leadership classes are making water drop, jellyfish, and star lanterns for the streamside installations. More moonfest info.

Monday September 13th the public lantern workshops begin. Drop by Renfrew Community Centre and make a lantern! Yoko Tomitia is there Monday – Friday from 4-8pm to help you out.
