Indiegogo: Support the Moon Festival!

What is Indiegogo?

Indiegogo is a website that helps fund projects, such as our Moon Festival, through the generosity of individual donations. We have set a goal of raising $3,000 until November 11th 2012, and we need your help to make this happen. Please click here to find out more and/or donate to the festival. In return for your contributions, you will receive perks that include free Moon Festival T-shirts, postcards, lantern workshops, providing a scholarship in your name, and more!

What is our goal?

Our goal is currently $3,000, which will cover a portion of the costs and will help us greatly in our festival’s sustainability. We have had trouble with grants recently because of the large amounts of applications that they receive. A large part of our costs involve providing honourariums to our many staff and artists who work tirelessly to create a beautiful festival. We believe in paying artists the amount they deserve.  So to make sure the Moon Festival continues to run, we turn to our community members and Internet users from around the world to support our cause.

Perks? What’s in it for me?

You don’t think that we would just gleefully accept your donations without providing a perk, do you? We have some very unique perks to provide, including 2012 Moon Festival T-shirts, all-expenses paid lantern workshops, tours of our unique Renfrew Ravine, and more! Of course, you will also receive eternal appreciation from all of the organizers behind the Moon Festival.

Will you help us?

We can’t say enough how much we have appreciated the support we’ve received for the Moon Festival thus far. We hope to see future growth, and hope that you’ll stick around for the ride. In the meantime, we would appreciate your donations to make the festival possible.

Please pass on this link to your networks.

Together, we can reach our goal.

Moon Fest 2012 Was Wonderful!

Thank you everyone for being part of a beautiful evening!
