Rivers Day September 27th, 2009

Sunday September 27th we all went down to Still Creek in Burnaby and Celebrated World Rivers Day. We had 5 youth Stilt walkers and 5 fiddlers with Twisted String roving the festival grounds and the Central Valley Greenway trail next the Still Creek near the Burnaby Lake/Sperling skytrain station. We also had two wonderful musicians Colin Maskell and Joe Poole creating wonderful ambient music under the Kensington Street overpass where people were disembarking from their boat trips up the creek. The festival organizers even treated everyone to a free sockeye salmon lunch. What a great way to spend a sunny Sunday!
