The Administration and Finance Committee is responsible for advising the board on matters relating to Still Moon’s operations, such as finances, facilities, and equipment. The Committee also oversees reporting to funders and governmental agencies.
Sponsorship and Fundraising
The Sponsorship and Fundraising Committee is responsible for obtaining funds to support Still Moon’s general operations and projects. The Committee reviews, develops, and implements strategies to solicit donations from potential sponsors and to plans events to achieve fundraising goals.
Governance and Policy
The Governance and Policy Committee is responsible for creating and reviewing policies for which Still Moon operates within. These policies play an integral role in how the board, Still Moon’s board, and our volunteers operate.
Programming and Stewardship
The Program and Stewardship Committee works with the Artistic Director in developing new and ongoing programs to ensure community inclusion and incorporation of Still Creek is kept in mind. The Committee evaluates current programs, suggests new programs, and assesses where stewardship programs may fit into the neighbourhood.
The Communications committee manages the media platforms of the Still Moon Arts Society including the website, newsletter, social media, print media and developing communications material.
The Youth Committee is made up by stellar youth in the Renfrew Collingwood neighbourhood. The Committee plans and implements events and workshops throughout the year, with a general focus on the Moon Festival.
The Nominations Committee is an ad hoc committee formed to recruit board members each year for our annual general meeting. The Committee looks for potential recruitments based on the parameters set out by the board, which are often determined by skills needed by the board.
