5050 Joyce Pop-Up Studio

The 5050 Joyce Pop-Up Studio provides a space for local artists and organizations to engage in the artistic community and connect with the neighbourhood.

The Pop-Up Studio is located at 5050 Joyce St, on the North-East corner of Joyce St. and Vanness St. right beside the Joyce Skytrain Station.

Our intention is to use the space to welcome local artists and arts organizations to organize events, hold workshops, run activities – anything to continue to strengthen the arts community in our neighbourhood.

We appreciate Westbank for supporting our work and allowing us to use the space. We also appreciate Collingwood Neighbourhood House for supporting us using this space.

We input all events happening at the space on our calendar below or by clicking here. You are encouraged to check out the link and join in our events! We also encourage you to get in contact with us if you have a workshop, event, activity, etc. that you’d like to run in the space. You can send us an email at mail@stillmoon.org with any inquires and someone will respond quickly with confirmation/questions about your booking. We’d love to hear from you!

5050 Joyce Pop-Up Studio has two rentable rooms – which we affectionately call the Front Room and the Back Room. Both room have access to two wheelchair-friendly washrooms. The building is wheelchair-accessible. We have an air conditioning/heating system that keeps the spaces comfortable even on hot summer days. There are seven parking spots at the back of the building in the alley.

The Front Room is 65 feet x 18 feet. It features large windows that overlook Joyce Street.

The Back Room is 65 feet x 19 feet. It backs onto the alley, and has half-walled windows that let in natural light. The space is not a perfect rectangle as one corner is used for outdoor storage and the other is used for one of the washrooms.

The space is primarily intended for local community arts and culture activities. That being said, we also welcome people from outside this community to join in on our activities.

This is how we will prioritize bookings:

  1. Artists and community groups living and working in Renfrew-Collingwood
  2. Artists working on projects taking place in Renfrew-Collingwood
  3. Community groups in Renfrew-Collingwood or in surrounding areas (Metrotown, Cedar Cottage, South Van)
  4. Artists and Community groups from around the Lower Mainland
  5. Other potential bookings, if they fit with the mandate of the space.
