Salmon Sounds in Motion: Youth Performing Arts Mentorship Project
Starr Muranko (Raven Spirit Dance) and Isabelle Kirouac, professional dancers and community-engaged choreographers, will lead youth performers through a research and creation process to produce a performance piece for three major shows in August and September. Ages 15 – 25.

Why did the salmon return to Still Creek after an 80 year absence?
What can we learn about our continued cohabitation through the use of movement inspired by Still Creek soundscapes and eco-art?

Salmon Sounds in Motion: Youth Videographer
This role for an emerging artist under 30 involves the creation of short documentary video/s for Still Moon Arts’ Salmon Sounds in Motion project. This is including but not limited to story ideation, design, filming, interviews, and editing. The videographer will work with the Artistic Director and General Manager of Still Moon Arts, members of the Still Moon Arts Board and Communications Committee, and the artists in Salmon Sounds in Motion. This position is designed to fulfill the marketing and documentation needs of the Society, while utilizing the skills and interests of the youth. Mentorship will be provided by artists at both Still Moon Arts and VIVO Media Arts. This is a short-term contract to film source material June – September with editing from September – November 2019. Salmon Sounds in Motion will conclude with a screening of the documentary. Must have flexible availability to attend evening and weekend rehearsals and performances. Applications are due by 5pm on May 21, 2019.
